About the Festival

The 2nd Annual Avy's Sunshine Kite Festival is a free heartwarming, community event dedicated to honoring the lives of lost loved ones. This free public event invites participants to decorate and fly kites in memory of those they hold dear while enjoying activities, games, vendors, and shared moments of joy. The kite festival also acts as a fundraiser for Avy's Sunshine Tribe, a nonprofit organization working to build a much-needed playground in honor of Avy, a beloved child who was tragically killed in a car crash at the age of almost two.

📍Old City Park (1515 S Harwood St)

🪁 Kites are provided! Join us to decorate and fly a kite, live DJ, Face painting, Ice cream cart, water activities, games, local vendors, free small toy and more!

📢CALL FOR VENDORS! We are looking for local vendors to join us! If you are an artist, food vendor, confectioner, outdoor organization, kite enthusiast, nonprofit, or a business aligned with our mission, we’d love to have you. Fill out the vendor submission form for consideration, and we’ll be in touch!

🌟CALL FOR SPONSORS! Want to show your support for the community? We are seeking sponsors to help make this event possible. Sponsors will be featured as supporters of this community-run event and can choose from a variety of sponsorship opportunities.Complete the sponsor submission form to get involved!

🙌CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! It takes a team to plan and run this event, and we could use your help!

Ways to help NOW: ✔️ Assist with building our Sunshine Art Bulletin Board ✔️ Organize raffles and submissions ✔️ Help with flyer distribution and online presence ✔️ Support with ads and promotions
